Registered Counsellor MBPsS MBACP
Welcome! My name is Elli and I am a registered counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), providing adults with brief or longer-term therapy concerning a wide range of difficulties.
You might be struggling with feeling low and anxious or might want to work on your self-esteem or the way you relate to others. Whatever challenges you might be facing, therapy can provide you with a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space that will allow you to feel supported in exploring a range of concerns you might be experiencing.
Valuing the universal need for empathic, safe, and authentic connection, I place the therapeutic relationship in the centre of what I do. I strive to provide a sensitive and compassionate environment where, through working together, you can gain insight into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, empowering you in making informed decisions about your life and your way forward.
I understand each person is unique and has had different experiences in life and that when it comes to therapy, one size doesn’t fit all. Respecting your individuality and following your pace is paramount and together we can think about what would best suit you and agree to an approach that is tailored to your needs and goals. My therapeutic approach is integrative, bringing together different aspects of specific therapies.
I have experience working with a number of psychotherapeutic modalities including Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Analytic Therapy (CAT) and Schema Therapy among others.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), I abide by their ethics and standards for good practice and conduct.
